Leaders know that taking the shortcut may undermine quality. This is why they carefully weigh whether the shortcut is the overall best solution or if the long way is a better path to follow.

Sometimes the shortcut is the better path because it leads to increased efficiency. Other times, taking a long way is better because it builds character or strengthens relationships. It's not always easy to know which path is best, but that's why leaders are careful and thoughtful in their decision-making process.
